{lost}

On Saturday night as we were praising GOD and letting him know that He was holy no matter what came our way...our cat became lost. We are unsure if she was taken by an animal, is in someone else's house, or lost in the woods. Nala is an amazing and brillant creature. She listens to commands, loves the water, loves people and to sit on the Bible. She has been a great joy in Charlie and I's life.....and it is not the same going to sleep with out her at our feet. So I am asking you to pray that she is found quickly. I can not lose hope that she is gone forever....and everytime I do someone else calls me with a miraculous story. And in the midst of her being gone I have felt GOD so clearly. He has reminded me of His love for me that He is shouting out for me NEVER GIVE UP, DON'T LOSE HEART, YOU ARE ALMOST HOME. I keep hearing him yelling at the top of His lungs just like I do for Nala every couple of hours. I know that God has a great hope for me....that he is smiling at creating me. This Easter be reminded of the same thing in your own life. He is calling out to you today....COME HOME.

PS- Please email me or call me at 669-2830 or if you have seen her...also please pray!!!

{classification triangle}

Animal Diversity Web

Classification Triangle Directions
1. Use the link to help research a vertebrate of your choice.
2. Once you get to the home page of the Animal diversity site type in your chosen animal….this will bring up a page about your animal. Across the top of the page are several tabs…(one says pictures use this to help you).
3. Once you get a picture for your species then click on genus (this is in the grey box to the right of the page or across the very top of the page).
4. Next get a picture of something in that genus.
5. Once you get a picture of something in that genus click on family (this is in the grey box to the right of the page or across the very top of the page).
6. Next get a picture of something in that family.
7. Repeat this process all the way to kingdom.

Note- I have attached mine as an example via email however yours should be done on the classification triangle I gave you in class…..feel free to print out the pictures and glue them on. Also notice on mine that as you move up the classification triangle you add one more animal. Generally I tried to choose an animal that would not be found in the one below. For instance: A tunicate is a chordates but not a vertebrate so it was perfect for phylum: chordate and slug is in kingdom animalia but is not a chordate.

{plant 2....quiz 4}

This tree is a cousin to one we have around here...yet notice the number of petals. It is stunning in full bloom especially next to Giant Sequioas in California.

{plant 1...for quiz 4}

This plant holds special memories, since I saw it in Oklahoma this summer when our American Ecosystems bus needed a minor repair! This beautiful flower can be seen in the plains states including also Texas and can be found along every major highway out WEST.

{plant id-week 2}

Recently at the UNCA Botanical Gardens, I noticed an usual plant/ tree. It caught my eye because much like my favorite blossom the Cherry blossom...it was in bloom in mid-January. To me this plant while being an anomaly also has a spiritual application....are we willing to bloom during the winter? Meaning when life and the world seems cold will we choose to be beautiful?

PS- Identify this plant via field guide, internet, etc...and recieve two extra points on next weeks Quiz. (#2)
